Taylor’s Restaurant

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past year; we are extremely grateful.

We hope very much to re-open for dinner service on Tuesday 18th May. New menus will be posted nearer the date and will feature the return of our popular set lunch menu.

With its delightful views over the river Dart and across to Kingswear, Taylor’s Restaurant is easily one of the most picturesque places to enjoy fresh cuisine inspired by Devon’s land and sea. Now in their 21st year, Peter and Pauline have built up an outstanding reputation and loyal following due to their continued dedication to doing what they love best – cooking and providing a comfortable and stylish place to dine with family and friends.

Dishes are prepared with skill and are cooked freshly to order by Peter and his team relying on the essential flavours and classic combinations that have been tried and tested over the years, with a real emphasis on quality produce.

Located on the Quay, Taylor’s sets an intimate dining scene with relaxed music & lighting, an attractive decor of sparkling chandeliers & mirrors with the stunning backdrop of Dartmouth’s beautiful harbourside.

Perfect for intimate dinners for 2, small gatherings with family or friends, or larger parties for up to 32.

Due to strict government guidelines put in place to allow us to safely re-open, we would like to draw your attention to the following information.

It is now a legal requirement to wear a face covering when entering the restaurant and whilst not seated. For example, you will need to wear a face covering whilst being seated, when visiting the bathroom and when leaving the restaurant.

Dartmouth is in Tier 2 of the lockdown system and therefore you may only book a restaurant table at Taylor’s to dine with members of your own household or support bubble.

In order to keep all our customers and staff safe during the coronavirus pandemic, we politely request the minimum participation from our customers before entry onto our premises.

  • Please do not enter our premises if you or members of your party have symptoms of coronavirus, if any of you live in a household or are in a support bubble with anyone showing symptoms, or if any of you are subject to quarantine procedures or have been requested to self-isolate as part of the government Track and Trace service.
  • Please use hand sanitiser upon entry.
  • Please allow us to temperature check you and members of your party upon entry.
  • Please arrive promptly at your allotted arrival time.
  • Please vacate the restaurant by 11pm.

We are a very small restaurant and will be working at reduced capacity, however we are determined to minimise any risk of spread in our premises. Our Mission Statement to show our commitment to providing a safe and controlled environment within our premises will be available on our website and Facebook page. A copy of our Risk Assessment will also be available on our website and will be regularly updated as and when necessary.

Despite all the restrictions that we are now faced with, we will do our best to ensure your dining experience at Taylor’s is as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.
